Keepr People leave hubs. Households change, someone sets up their own, a relationship ends. What happens next is designed so nobody loses photos in the process.
You keep access for 30 days#
Whether you left or were removed, you keep read access to the hub's albums for 30 days. You can look at everything you could before, and download anything of yours.
The 30 days exist for one reason: losing access to a family archive with no notice is the complaint people make about other products, and it's avoidable. If you've already got what you need, you can end the grace period early rather than waiting it out.
Before it ends, the useful things to do are download your photos or export everything.
Photos you added stay in the hub#
By default, photos you uploaded remain in the hub's albums after you go.
That's deliberate, and it's the right default for a family archive: those photos are part of the shared record of the household, and other members have been looking at them for as long as they've been there. Removing them on your way out would take holidays and birthdays out of everyone else's albums.
You can remove your own photos if you want to — but consider whether the honest thing is to leave the family's memories with the family and take your own copies with you. The two aren't in conflict: downloading doesn't remove anything.
The hub owner is told#
When someone leaves, the person who manages the hub is notified — and if a departing member moves or deletes photos they had added, the owner is told that too.
Nothing about a leaving happens silently to the people left behind, which matters when the albums are shared.
If you're the billing admin#
You can't simply leave. Billing has to be handed to another admin first, or the hub deleted — otherwise a hub would be left with a subscription nobody controls.
If you're the only admin#
You can't leave without promoting someone else first. A hub with no admin can't be managed by anyone: no invitations, no removals, no plan changes.

Photos of you that someone else uploaded#
Leaving doesn't transfer ownership of anything. If there are photos in the hub that you want to own rather than just download — pictures of your children someone else uploaded — you can ask for them, and the owner decides.
