Inviting people to your hub

Hub admins invite people to a Keepr Family Hub by sending them a link. The person accepts and immediately sees the hub's shared albums with everything already in them. Nobody needs to install an app — Keepr works in a browser on any phone or computer. How many people a hub holds depends on its plan.

Inviting someone sends them a link. They accept, and they're in — the hub's shared albums are there, with everything already in them. There's no setup for them to work through.

Who can invite#

Hub admins. If you created the hub, that's you; if you've added other admins, they can invite too. See Admins and members.

They don't need to install anything#

This matters more than it sounds, because "download another app" is where most family photo sharing quietly dies.

Keepr works in a browser on any phone or computer. Someone can accept an invitation, look at the photos, and keep using it that way indefinitely. The Android app adds convenience — background uploads in particular — but nothing requires it.

How many people#

Depends on the plan: the free Starter Hub holds three, and larger plans hold more. The current numbers are on the pricing page rather than here, because they change.

If you're at your limit and want to add someone, you can move the hub to a larger plan without disturbing anything in it.

If someone doesn't accept#

Their invitation shows as still waiting until they act on it. Hub invitations don't tell you whether the message was opened — only whether it's been accepted.

So if a few days pass, assume it went to a spam folder or a phone they never check rather than that they weren't interested. Sending it again through a channel they actually use — messaging them the link directly — is usually all it takes.

Removing someone later#

You can remove a member, and they keep read access to the hub's albums for 30 days afterwards so they can download anything of theirs before it ends. Photos they added stay in the hub's albums unless they remove them.

The full picture, from both sides, is in Leaving or being removed from a hub.

Common questions

Do they need to install an app?
No. Keepr works in a browser on any phone or computer. The Android app is optional.
How many people can be in a hub?
It depends on the plan. The free Starter Hub holds three; larger plans hold more.
Someone hasn't accepted. Can I tell whether they opened it?
Not for hub invitations — you can see whether it's still waiting or has been accepted, but not whether it was opened. If it's been a few days, send it again through a channel they actually check.
Can I take someone's invitation back?
Yes. A pending invitation can be cancelled before it's accepted.
