Everything about your account rather than your photos.
Your profile#
Your name and picture — what other people in your circles and hubs see next to your photos and comments.
Language#
Changes the app, and the notifications and emails you receive. Two people in the same circle each get theirs in their own language.
It also affects search. Your search words are translated to English before searching, because the image model understands English best — so setting your language correctly is what makes describe-it search work properly in it.
Notifications#
Every kind has its own switch, all on by default: messages, likes, comments, new photos, invitations, Moments, memories, the digest, support replies.
Push notifications on your phone or browser are opt-in and asked for rather than assumed.
See Notifications.
Emails#
Two separate streams:
- Lifecycle — occasional nudges about something you haven't set up.
- Memories — "on this day" content, capped at twice a week.
Each has its own unsubscribe, so turning one off doesn't silence the other. See What Keepr records about you.
Storage#
How much you've used, what's using it, and the tools for getting some back — reviewing duplicate stacks and removing originals you've finished with.
Worth opening before upgrading. Most libraries have more room available than their owners expect.
Subscription#
Your current plan, what you're paying and when it renews. Changing plan, and cancelling, happen here.
Family Hub subscriptions are separate and managed in the hub — see Hub storage and billing.
Transfers#
Requests where someone has asked you for photos or offered you theirs. See Ask for photos of you.
Your data#
- Export everything — a full copy, emailed as a link.
- Delete your account — permanent, and confirmed with a code sent to your email.
Signing in#
With a Google account, or an email address and password.
Changing the email you sign in with isn't a profile field — contact support and they'll sort it out.
